Come join our team of robot-obsessed engineers and help make intelligent robots a reality. About the Role:Dexterity is searching for a Planner to manage production scheduling for in house and outside assemblies. This person will be responsible for the usage of production materials to ensure optimal levels. The Planner will monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise. Planner will also be responsible for creating work orders tracking systems, alerting management when orders have been filled and potential delays. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts and warehouse flow.Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products. Open, track and close WO for sub-assemblies.Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.Work with production supervisor on scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage.Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budgetReporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying.Collaborate with various teams to support the company ramp plan.Forecast our hardware needs based on production and R&D projects.Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior experience working with hardware suppliers, warehouse environment.  Experience in automotive, aerospace, robotics, semiconductor, heavy manufacturing industry preferred.Well organized and able to take on many tasks.Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment that requires you to take responsibility.Experience with inventory management and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Available to work extra hours when needed.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Loud work environment with temperature change due to seasons.Ability to lift 30lbs or heavier with assistance.Ability to be on feet and walking around warehouse for a big part of the day.
