Each practice plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy, offering innovative solutions that balance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. </p><p>We are looking for energy professionals with varying areas of expertise/experience to join our rapidly expanding renewable energy team. You will be based in our HUB offices within easy reach of either Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Bristol, working to a flexible hybrid approach. </p><p><strong>Renewables </strong> </p><p>We’re committed to playing our part in the urgent transition from carbon-intensive energy sources to less centralised and more flexible energy systems. Our teams of energy professionals link up across our global network of offices to provide solutions, designs, and support to clients in multiple technical and deployment areas such as: on and offshore wind power, solar power, hydropower, carbon capture, alternative fuels, hydrogen and, crucially, energy demand assessment and carbon reduction.  With an associated deep commitment to sustainable solutions, we combine our engineering and scientific skills with those of our environmental colleagues to try to achieve equitable and biodiverse outcomes.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Start here. Grow here. </strong></p><p>Are you ready to take on the role of Associate Director, Renewable Energy<strong> </strong>in our rapidly expanding renewable energy team. You will be responsible for undertaking a technical role on projects within our energy business; typically, our projects are associated with the generation, storage, transmission and distribution of energy both in the UK and Ireland and countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).</p><p>Projects include all stages of design from feasibility to detailed design and site construction supervision both Republic of Ireland and internationally. Our clients are a mix between large energy utility generators to private developers.</p><p>Here’s what you’ll do:</p><p>As our new Associate Director – Renewable Engineer, you will be a senior member of the team and responsible for developing and leading project delivery and developing and maintaining client relationships.</p><p>You will review and generate technical and contractual information from both internal and external sources.</p><p>Other aspects of the role include:</p><ul><li>Liaise with clients, manage project work on a day-to-day basis and ensure that the work is delivered within the agreed timescale and budgets.</li><li>Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of renewable energy infrastructure.</li><li>Respond to technical queries raised by the Site Team.</li><li>Act as lead verifier on reports including technical feasibility studies and design reports (depending on core engineering discipline)</li><li>Direct junior members of staff and mentor graduate engineers.</li></ul><p>If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you.
