Job Summary: The EMS Manager is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and coordinating patient care as well as the clinical care delivery process as directed by the Clinical Director. The EMS Manager serves as a role model and resource to staff that has twenty-four hour accountability for the department’s operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current unencumbered NCOEMS Paramedic credential in good standing with Craven County EMS System.
  • Must obtain and maintain medical control privileges to the standard of the County EMS Medical Director.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS certification.
  • Three years of experience as a Paramedic. Two years of experience as an EMS Instructor. Two years of supervisory or managerial experience. 
  • Ability to drive an ambulance safely and efficiently. Successful completion of Emergency Vehicle Driver (EVD) course within one year of hire. Maintenance of EVS certification; required EVD refresher course every two years.
  • All personnel operating CarolinaEast owned ambulances must have a minimum of three years of driving experience.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills. Possess strong leadership qualities.
