RICKMAN MILL IS NOW HIRING FOR DAY SHIFT ROLES
We are currently accepting applications for the first and second phases of hiring for general production associate positions at Rickman Mill, our new state-of-the-art stave mill located in Rickman, Tennessee.
Our initial group of hires will comprise 5 to 7 individuals who will undergo off-site training for up to two weeks. A second group will begin a few weeks later and will receive training on-site before production starts.
We plan to conduct interviews and make hires for these production associate positions in stages. Please refer to our timeline below for more details.
Rickman Mill, a subsidiary of Independent Stave Company, a family-owned business, has been committed to making quality cooperage products for four generations. We are looking to build a team of diverse and talented team members who can develop and grow with us as the world's leading manufacturer of white oak barrels.
HIRING TIMELINES
- Phase 1 interviews:
- Interviews start the week of July 14th
- The 1st initial training group will be selected
- The 2nd group of hires will also be selected
- Phase 2 1st Group Hiring:
- 1st hire group will consist of 5-6 hires for offsite training at one of our stave mill facilities.
- 1st group training is scheduled for the week of August 25th
- Onboarding of this group will take place the week before.
- Phase 3 2nd Group Hiring:
- The 2nd group of hires is scheduled to start after the Labor Day weekend.
- Onboarding will take place the previous week
- Scheduled Production Start: September 15th
PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBERS
- Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. After an initial training period and depending on your production role, you will have the opportunity to earn additional incentive-based pay.
- Fixed shift schedules consist of 10-hour shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain quality and efficiency in fast-paced work environments and production lines.
- Safely operate equipment used in various manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors in a respectful and cooperative manner.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in different body positions, including bending, stooping, standing, and to perform coordinated movements such as pulling, pushing, grasping, reaching, and using both arms effectively.
- Other duties as assigned
