South Branch Generalist Lead- HRD Division

The Human Resources Division at TxDOT is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to serve as an HR Lead for our South Branch team. This leadership role supports the HR Branch Manager and HR operations across branch with a focus on The San Antonio, and Corpus Christi districts. The position works closely with the South Branch HR Manager and serves as one of two HR Leads for the Southern Branch. This position will be housed in either the San Antonio, Pharr, or Corpus Christi district office. What You’ll Do:
•    Partner with District Engineers and local leadership to provide strategic HR guidance.
•    Lead and mentor HR Generalists and Interns, fostering professional development and high performance.
•    Oversee daily HR operations and ensure consistent execution of HR programs and policies.
•    Advise on complex HR matters including employee relations, performance management, and accommodations.
•    Conduct training sessions and promote HR best practices across districts.
•    Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures with clarity and consistency.
•    Visits districts frequently to manage and direct day to day HR operations. Up to 50% travel (includes overnight travel).
