Collins Aerospace is seeking an exceptional Sr. Manager of Supply Chain to join our dynamic team at the Fairfield site. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Supply Chain, you'll play a crucial role in revolutionizing our procurement strategies. What You Will Do

  • Lead the procurement team to meet business purchasing needs.
  • Coordinate team activities to meet program requirements and ensure adherence to procurement practices.
  • Apply supply chain, procurement, and business expertise within a matrixed organization.
  • Communicate effectively across various areas and with external parties.
  • Develop and implement customer-focused, risk-managed procurement solutions for competitive advantage.
  • Manage and coach the procurement team, establishing performance metrics.
  • Oversee all procurement activities at the Fairfield site.
  • Ensure team members have necessary skills, providing training and support.
  • Support team in clarifying and refining procurement activities.
  • Act as supply chain point of contact for business leaders and communicate supply information.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to meet operational, supplier, and financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes and approvals.
  • Address supply shortages, conflicts, and risks with the procurement team.
  • Support supplier engagement activities, including negotiations and performance management.
  • Travel up to 20%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Experience in leading and/or mentoring a team

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proficient in inventory management systems, processes, and philosophies, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Experienced in supply and demand planning.
  • Knowledgeable in government procurement and contract management.
