Registered Nurse IV

This position is located in Acton, MA

The Area Office Registered Nurse IV provides professional nursing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, area office staff and providers.  

Incumbents of this position work with various stakeholders in problem-solving and mediation as it relates to medical issues around an individual and their services.  These stakeholders may include family members, the individuals themselves, staff at DDS and supporters from outside agencies which can include hospitals, rehabilitation centers, hospice as well as residential and vocational supports.  

The successful candidate must have the ability to coordinate multiple complex services during highly-intense situations.  He or she will prioritize cases independently using a holistic approach to triage.  This position requires a high level of confidence and the ability to work in a variety of settings including but not limited to hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and family homes.  

The RN IV ensures that each person’s living environment meets adequate health and safety standards.  Additionally, this person may educate the individuals, their family members and the staff who work with and support them on how to safely address the medical issues pertaining to the individual as needed.  

Interested applicants should be flexible in schedule as there may be occasional nights and weekend meetings with individuals, guardians, families and other agencies. 

Schedule:

Full-Time-40 Hours per week - 8:45 AM-5:00 PM

Days Off: Sunday/Saturday
