What would you do as our Software Test Automation Lead
As our Software Test Automation Lead you will lead the transition to embed and deliver test automation across multiple teams within our R&D division. A key focus of the role will be in defining test automation strategies and plans, outlining your vision for transformation, leading on test architecture, framework definition, standards and practices. As part of this role, you will be able to showcase your experience in leading a growing team of automation engineers to support the delivery of your vision.
You would also:
- Develop and deliver test automation strategy and plans, working as part of a cross-functional team.
- Design and look after the implementation of test frameworks with BDD and the selection and implementation of the right tools.
- Work with DevOps to implement test automation within CI/CD.
- Be responsible for the line management of a growing team of test automation engineers, providing mentoring, development plans, goal setting and performance reviews.
- Provide training and guidance for the wider team on test automation strategy and how to move to a shift-left culture.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience with defining automation strategies and delivering plans.
- Has proven experience with C# .NET and object-oriented software engineering and design.
- Expert knowledge of modern automation test frameworks and tools (for example, SpecFlow, Gherkin, Playwright, RestSharp, etc).
- Experience across component, API, front-end, mobile, integration and contract testing.
- Has experience of non-functional test aspects including performance and load testing, as well as proven experience with BDD and driving Acceptance Criteria with 3-amigos.
- Is a certified ISTQB Certified Agile Tester with bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
