Senior Associate Dean - Collaborative Research & Partnerships

The Senior Associate Dean for Collaborative Research and Partnerships is a key member of the Dean’s leadership team, providing strategic guidance to the functional units that support clinical trials research. This role ensures that all activities align with the School’s overarching objectives while maintaining robust oversight of clinical trials.

Additionally, the position is responsible for leading and overseeing the development of strategic clinical trial collaborations with external organizations, fostering interdisciplinary research within the institution, and actively pursuing external funding opportunities to support these partnerships.

The Senior Associate Dean works closely and collaboratively with other members of the Dean’s leadership team to address the School’s evolving needs, tackle challenges, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This role is essential for evaluating progress toward strategic priorities through established analytics and for enhancing the growth and integration of clinical research expertise across the health system.

• Provide guidance regarding strategic, operational, and financial initiatives affecting clinical research across the health system.
• Strengthen and expand internal and external clinical research networks and key strategic partnerships.
• Establish and manage collaborations with pharmaceutical, technology, and device companies.
• Provide guidance on clinical trial productivity by ensuring performance targets are met, monitoring patient enrollment, tracking trial growth across the health system, and collaborating with existing infrastructure to effectively manage research volume.
• Manage the financial administration of the Clinical Trials Services Office.
• Serve as a member of the Clinical Trials Oversight Committee.
• Collaborate with the Office of Research Services on clinical trial-related matters.
• Support and effectively encourage investigators to take on principal investigator (PI) roles in clinical trials.
• Broaden acceptance criteria within the research community to enhance trial participation.
• Oversee and manage early-phase inpatient clinical trials in collaboration with clinical nursing and hospital leadership.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Master's degree in related field
• 10 years of relevant experience
