Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Agent in TRACY, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with visitors and team members. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related screening procedures for personnel and/or vehicles entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel, addressing questions and offering assistance as needed.
• Follow site-specific policies, post orders, and security-related protocols as outlined by Allied Universal and the logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and maintain accurate logs of individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Support emergency response activities as required by site protocols, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns if necessary.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related needs and concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
