The ideal candidate should be someone we can <span>trust to deploy and make technical decisions independently</span>, and who can <span>demonstrate their experience through real, hands-on examples</span>.</span></p> <p><br/><br/></p> <ul> <li><span>Work with a mature cross functional agile teams on a hugely successful flagship product for the business</span></li> <li><span>Develop on-premise components, cloud microservices and and integrate with modern cloud platforms</span></li> <li><span>Design, develop and test architecture changes, product features and improvements</span></li> <li><span>Use containerization and cloud technology (compute, network and storage) to build, deploy and execute services and applications in the cloud</span></li> <li><span>Support product monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality standards</span></li> <li><span>Drive development team best practices and standards</span></li> <li><span>Participate in peer reviews and promote good quality, secure development practices</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate with other teams to improve existing products, services and tools</span></li> <li><span>Complete all mandatory company-wide compliance training and job-specific training required for the role, including QMS, ISMS, GxP, DocuSign, SDLC as applicable</span></li> </ul> <p><br/></p> <p><span>About You (Skills and Experience): </span></p> <ul> <li><span>A Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field is essential</span></li> <li><span><span>6/7+ years </span>of work experience in a similar <span>Java (microservices) </span>development role is essential (commercial hands on coding</span></li> <li><span>Java (certification a plus)</span></li> <li><span>Minimum of 5+ years experience using <span>Spring </span>framework</span></li> <li><span>Experience with <span>web services, microservices and RESTful APIs</span></span></li> <li><span>Experience with </span> <ul> <li><span><span>CI/CD solutions</span>, <span>testing frameworks and build tools</span> (we use GitLab) </span></li> <li><span>Cloud deployments (<span>AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, </span> Skaffold, Terraform)</span></li> <li><span><span>Databases </span>(we use MongoDB &amp; Atlas among others) </span></li> <li><span>Other programming languages <span>(Python or Javascript</span>)<br/></span></li> </ul> </li> <li><span><span>Hands-on experience</span> with all of our core technologies (above)</span></li> </ul> <p><br/><br/></p> <p><span>Soft skills (assessed at interview &amp; vital to the role)</span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Proven ability to drive initiatives</span> independently, without waiting for
