Based in Las Vegas or Remote, this leadership role is responsible for: 1) Agile Delivery Maturity, 2) Program Management leadership, 3) PI Planning Event Success. This is an opportunity to collaborate closely with a cross-functional leadership team as you uphold delivery excellence across several fully dedicated, cross-functional, digital software development teams. This role’s primary functions are to ensure that our e-commerce and hospitality product Delivery system remains: 1) high-performing, 2) consistent, 3) secure, 4) capable of delivering unparalleled, personalized, customer experiences, 5) focused on continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading Agile Program Delivery roles (Release Train Engineers, Agile Program Mangers, etc.) and Team Delivery roles (Scrum Masters, Agile Project Managers, etc.) within organizations that deliver modern, immersive, and engaging digital experiences built with React, React Native, and React Native Web, AWS, Builder.io, Playwright, and the Akeneo PIM. The Director of Delivery will facilitate the creation of Delivery principles, standards, and patterns in contribution to a series of robust Digital Products that can scale across all digital eCommerce channels: web/app/tv/kiosk; and all teams in the eCommerce & Hospitality Digital Products department. This leader must also excel at coaching and mentoring Program and Team roles across our department; and is responsible for actively collaborating in our Delivery community of practice – which includes: 1) bi-weekly discussions, 2) reading/actively listening to associated books & podcasts, 3) consuming other forms of digital media, 4) leading/participating in conversations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day: lead a department of Delivery professionals responsible for coordinating the creation and deployment of high-quality software for Caesars Entertainment digital e-commerce and hodsipatily experiences.
- Coaching: Provide leadership to Delivery, Product, and Engineering roles within our department while researching and solving technical problems independently.
- Cross team consistency: Set standards and assist in maintaining consistent usage of standardized patterns across multiple Digital Product teams.
- Getting to Ready: Assist in translating Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) into Epics/Features that solve business problems.
- Agile Delivery Maturity: Design and improve Delivery patterns that exhibit Agility. Understand Caesars overall IT Architecture and champion a culture of collaboration outside our department.
- Program Management: Lead in standardizing Delivery patterns that empower robust, dependency management, cross team collaboration, as well as frequent releases to Production.
- PI Planning Event Success: Assist in Team Readiness, Preparation (logistics, planning, etc.), Management of Risks, Issues, and Dependencies, Facilitating Program Inspect and Adapt session, Communications, and Event Facilitation.
- Community Leader: Lead the Caesars Delivery community while empowering the support and iterative development of production systems.
- Delivery: Empower the continuous delivery of Epics/Features in concert with our department’s priorities.
- Communication: Actively engage to define, prioritize, and collaborate the various needs of our guests. Communicate with Caesars IT teams and other departments to ensure alignment.
- Standards: Define, execute, and improve Caesars Digital Product Delivery principles, standards, and practices.
- Quality: Responsible for the delivery of high-quality hospitality products to our guests.
- People Management: Responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining, and motivating team members.
- Coordination: Requests for Proposal, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and other legal considerations for area of responsibility.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage vendors for the area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- 12-15 years of professional software delivery experie
