The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
The Plant IT Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing the IT operations within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures the seamless functioning and high availability of IT systems, services, and infrastructure, supporting both operational needs and strategic initiatives. The Plant IT Operations Leader will manage the IT Operations Support Analysts and Field Services Analysts to collaborate closely with Corporate IT, Plant employees, and other departments to drive IT excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of IT Operations Analysts, providing guidance, setting goals, and fostering professional development.
- Oversee the management of all IT-related tasks and incidents in ServiceNow, ensuring optimal support and quick resolution of issues.
- Spearhead initiatives to troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure, and other IT-related problems that impact business operations.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of critical reports using PowerBI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT practices, tools, and procedures to boost system reliability and operational efficiency.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in IT operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Extensive experience with industry-specific systems such as Siemens Camstar, PAC, OPC, PLCs, OSI PI.
- Expertise in supporting applications using .NET, T-SQL, and familiarity with SSRS and PowerBI.
- Certifications in technical areas such as Cisco, SAP, or Microsoft.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems, enterprise/client hardware, and networking.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $84,418.00 - $116,076.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
