Job Description

The Lead Project Manager position is a remote-based role. 

Project Management

  • Management of medium-sized (5-15 countries) or large (>15 countries) projects/programs under general supervision with primary responsibility for the production of project deliverables in conformance to the predefined quality standards, on time and on budget
  • Performing the project co-manager’s role in complex international projects/programs with secondary responsibility for the production of project deliverables in conformance to the predefined quality standards, on time and on budget
  • Adherence to and promotion of principles of delivery and service in dealing with PSI customers
  • Project team leadership

Project Supervision of small (<5 countries) projects/programs

  • Supervisory responsibility for the production of project deliverables in conformance to the predefined quality standards, on time and on budget, adhering to and promoting principles of delivery and service in dealing with PSI customers
  • Primary escalation contact for PSI customers, vendors, project teams and representatives of other functional areas for all project-related issues

Corporate/Departmental Assignments

  •  Training, mentoring and coaching of (S)CRAs, (S)CTAs, (S)CTCs and CTLs (non-project-related)
  • Participation in feasibility research
  • Assistance in business development tasks, such as development of proposals, client presentations, bid defense meetings, and the like
  • Implementation of company standard practices and compliance with intradepartmental procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that presents the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Equivalency is defined as a minimum 5 years of experience gained in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry and clinical research
  • At least 5-year industry experience in clinical research
  • At least 3 years of project management experience, including management of all project phases from startup to closure
  • This role requires travel on an as needed basis for client presentations, bid defense meetings, department meetings, and the like.
