Job Description Summary:

The Cloud Engineering and DevOps team is focused on providing reliable and stable cloud infrastructure and release solutions for Venmo services to run upon. We provide a solid foundation that application teams rely on and continually push to raise the bar in a continuous improvement culture.

Job Description:

Our team ensures the seamless operation of Venmo’s user-facing services and production systems. We manage infrastructure end-to-end—covering operations, automation, security, compliance, and release engineering—while blending Cloud Engineering with SRE and DevOps practices.

 

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 5-10 engineers, driving the strategy for Venmo’s cloud infrastructure and DevOps initiatives. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our AWS-based systems while shaping the platform’s technological backbone to meet growing user demands.

 

In your day-to-day role you will
 

·         Inspire and Lead: Manage a team of 5-10 engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and high performance.

·         Drive Strategy: Shape Venmo’s Cloud Engineering and DevOps direction, aligning initiatives with business goals.

·         Deliver Impactful Projects: Lead end-to-end execution of major initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality results.

·         Lead by Example: Provide hands-on technical guidance, strengthening the team’s cloud expertise and best practices.

·         Champion Continuous Improvement: Enhance code efficiency, infrastructure reliability, and operational excellence.
