We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager – Federal Site Civil for our Jacksonville office. This role will lead complex site civil projects and may also manage planning-related projects that support land development or DOD initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you will manage and deliver multiple complex projects—from early planning and due diligence through permitting and construction. You’ll lead cross-disciplinary teams, serve as a technical and procedural subject matter expert, and ensure projects are delivered in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations. This position may also oversee planning efforts such as feasibility studies, site yield analyses, entitlement support, and coordination with planning authorities as part of broader land development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop project teams that may include civil engineers, designers, AutoCAD technicians, and interns.
- Serve as the technical authority for land development projects, including site civil design, permitting, and construction administration.
- Manage projects from conceptual planning through final design, approvals, and construction, ensuring seamless transitions between phases.
- Oversee and/or manage planning-related efforts, which may include site feasibility studies, due diligence, zoning and entitlement support, coordination with planners, and early-stage land use analysis.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risks while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
- Coordinate across internal disciplines and external stakeholders, including clients, agencies, and consultants.
- Ensure quality control through thorough review of plans, reports, and technical deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Plan, organize, prioritize, assign, and evaluate the work of project team members while supporting professional development and performance.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida, or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
- Proven experience managing projects for Federal, residential, commercial, or industrial sites.
- Exposure to or experience with planning activities that support development (e.g., feasibility, entitlements, zoning coordination, or site analysis).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, WaterCAD, ICPR, and Excel.
- Experience working in collaborative environments using tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, motivate teams, and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
