Overview of the Role
As the Confectionary Retail Director, you will oversee the Retail Supervisors who manage designated teams of Merchandisers, Retail Merchandisers, Retail Representatives, and/or Retail Sales Representatives to merchandise and sell clients’ brands and products in supermarket chains, cooperatives, and independent stores. You will act as main contact between CA Ferolie and our Confectionary CPG clients in all aspects (Weekly/Monthly Check-ins, distribution of Reporting and analysis on reporting)
What You Will Do
- Establishes, creates, analyzes, and delivers diverse Retail Reporting for our CPG Clients on a regular cadence. Utilizes detailed reporting with Sale Representatives to identify opportunities at retail level for execution and sale purposes
- Directs training and performance evaluations of Retail Supervisors to develop and motivate subordinates; recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions; conducts new employee orientation to communicate behaviors, values, tactics and resources to achieve company goals.
- Working with Retail Supervisors, coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quota and goals, and informs team of upcoming new items, promotional events, merchandising tools and planned sales activities.
- Working with Retail Supervisors, reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, call plans and routing to achieve display quota and shelf space; assists in developing sales campaigns to support the achievement of Company revenue goals; accompanies clients to store level reviews of display activity, facings, and general store conditions.
- Represents company at presentations for new accounts; develops a strong rapport with appropriate customer retail management personnel; acts as liaison between Retail and related Wholesalers and Distributors to enhance communication of authorized product lists, code numbers and promotional support.
- Establishes professional and frequent lines of communications with clients, management, direct reports, associates and customers and elevates issues and opportunities in a timely manner.
- Participates in training and development programs to improve communication, organization, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
