Job Description
As HR Business Partner (West Coast US) you will provide counsel to leadership regarding best practices which maximize employee development, efficiencies, engagement and retention. You will champion a diverse and inclusive workforce throughout the employee life cycle and foster a culture of continuous improvement through performance management. Specifically, you will be responsible for providing trusted advisory and HR support to senior leaders, line managers and employees in our offices in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles and Phoenix as well as employees in satellite/client offices surrounding those areas. Preferably you will reside in the Phoenix area and be willing to travel to the other offices. You will report directly to the Head of HR, USA.
To be the successful candidate you will have strong business knowledge, comprehensive understanding of HR, and sound acumen in delivering all aspects of Human Resources, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management and talent management/development, with support from the global and regional HR teams. You will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in progressively responsible HR roles, hold a degree in Human Resource Management or related field with a PHR, SPHR or additional HR certification. You will be an expert in promoting diversity awareness and advising and mentoring leadership on all aspects of the employee life cycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as trusted advisor to West Coast senior executives and managers.
- Develop HR strategies and practices with leadership to improve employee development, performance, engagement, and retention.
- Guide day-to-day execution of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to managers and employees.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Advocate for employee engagement and well-being.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related discipline; SHRM - CP/SCP, PHR, SPHR certification and/or Master’s degree a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and relationship management skills.
- MS Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $115K-$140 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
