We’re Sutherland. We’ve contracted with some of the country’s largest and most expansive health systems to support their Inpatient E&M and Surgeries Medical Coding team.

Job Description

In this role, you will analyze and interpret complex records in order to identify and accurately bill services. This will include assigning/sequencing correct diagnostic and procedure billing codes in compliance with third party payor requirements, and when necessary, obtaining clarification when presented with conflicting, ambiguous, or non-specific documentation.

Qualifications

To qualify you must possess:

• At least 2+ years of related coding experience
• CPC or CCS-P certification
• Strong communication, analytical and research skills with a keen attention to detail
• A bachelor’s degree, certification or equivalent
