RESPONSIBILITIES
The VDI/Images Systems Administrator is expected to be able to accomplish the following:
- Provides all the necessary support for Citrix Infrastructure.
- Checking and controlling the server and offering solutions to its problems.
- Supporting and preserving the Virtual Desktop setup of the institution, which includes, the AppSense and XenDesktop, XenApp, and others.
- Help in organization and management of the business applications.
- Determining the increased cases received by the IT Helpdesk.
- Improving and adjusting the Virtual Desktop system.
- Design and implement platform security.
- Taking part in upgrading and updating the system’s applications, installing it with up-to-date descriptions.
- Strengthen the apps, the Windows server, and the principal operating system.
- Providing technical assistance for all the servers, desktops, and services that apply business.
- Taking full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and examining the documentation of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
- Executing helpdesk calls and classifying cases according to their priorities and accelerations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years; PhD, 0-2
- One of the Following DoD 8570/CS-NET-451 certifications is required:
- CASP+/SecurityX
- CISSP
- GCED
- CISA
- Proficiency in ITIL and other IT operations frameworks
- STIG implementation experience
- RMF knowledge
- ACAS / Nessus familiarity
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V)
- Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V)
- Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization (CCE-V)
- Microsoft Certified -Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Windows Server certificationsVMware VCP (if hybrid)
- Azure Virtual Desktop cert (if cloud VDI)
- Nutanix
- Proficiency in ITIL 4 Foundation, and other IT operations frameworks.
- CCP-V
- CCE-V
Overview
We are seeking to fill multiple VDI/Images Systems Administrator positions on our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The VDI/Images Systems Administrator primary duty involves monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily remote access technologies. Responsible for taking care of all the administration tools in the Citrix environment.
