What You Will Do:

As a Senior Principal Industrial Engineer, you will support plant site initiatives, projects, and activities including the application of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Quality Engineering, Project Engineering, and discipline-specific concepts.

• Identify projects related to cost reduction, quality improvement or productivity improvement; monitor and analyze turn backs to develop corrective actions

• Contribute to Visual Management & Control, Layout, Flow & Linkage and Standard Work according to operating system

• Participate in and lead Kaizen events

• Improve production work cell and process flow design; process time studies to ensure accuracy of routing and identify opportunities

• Develop and update process maps; developing and updating Value Stream Maps (VSM), Standard Work, Standard Work combination sheets and load charts

• Supporting the Process Certification process

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 10 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, project management, process improvement/continuous improvement or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 7 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, project management, process improvement/continuous, or closely related industrial environment

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (CORE, 6S, VSM, 3P, etc.)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Degree in Industrial Engineering

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

• Experience with process/continuous Improvement initiatives

• Experience in manufacturing and non-manufacturing process improvements

• Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity

• Proficiency in Excel Macros or other programming languages; ability to data mine through multiple information systems

• Understanding of capital acquisition process
