Description
Under general supervision, ensures that patrons have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service.- Greet and escort guests to tables, answer questions about menu items, inform guests of specials and make recommendations upon request
- Take food and beverage orders from the guest
- Serve food and/or beverages to guests; prepare and serve dishes and/or beverages as required
- Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant which includes removing dishes from tables
- Prepare checks that itemize total costs and sales taxes and balance receipts
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications- Must be able to obtain position specific certifications within one (1) month of employment; i.e., Food Handler, Arizona Title 4 Alcohol Training, etc.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain positive guest and working relationships
Preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Ability to work in astressful environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the work day
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $15.00 - $19.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions.
