The individual will join the Workforce Services Desktop Monitoring & Tools team in Enterprise Technology Services, focusing on desktop monitoring solutions and infrastructure analytics. The team supports client machine availability and stability using various technologies across the organization.
What you'll do in the role:
Integrate and develop automation flow for high volume data injection from various monitoring systems (SysTrack, Splunk, Dashwork, ServiceNow and Morgan Stanley internal groups) with common data sources such as CSV/JSON/XML/MSSQL/RESTAPI.
Design, develop, maintain, and optimize databases, DB schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, SQL scripts, inline SQL, user defined functions, ETL processes, reports using Microsoft SQL Server suite including but not limited to SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
Design and develop data retention processes and review data quality including purging, rotation, and replication.
Strong understanding of hardware inventory tracking and change control
Create dashboards, KPIs, aggregated and detailed reporting for internal clients using SSRS, PowerBI, and Tableau.
Create event driven alerts, reports, dashboard, automated email notifications, and escalations alerts.
Create User reference guide and the data dictionary in Jira and SharePoint.
Data Science/Analytics: Work with various teams across the organization to test, analyze, review, and share data for performance.
Proficient in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux environments)
Design, develop, maintain, and optimize databases, DB schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, SQL scripts, inline SQL, user defined functions, ETL processes, reports using Microsoft SQL Server suite including but not limited to SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS and ensure data integrity
What you'll bring to the role:
Minimum 10 years of technical support, engineering, integration, or development experience
5+ years of experience Microsoft SQL Server toolset including SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
5+ years of experience developing and administering SQL Server databases.
3+ years of experience on Linux hardening, shell script and NFS administration.
3+ years of experience on file backup, purge, or rotation.
Ability to administer and create interactive custom reports in SQL Server Report Services (SSRS)
Advanced Excel Knowledge
Strong understanding of data security
Big data analysis
Ability to collaborate, collect and document requirements for complex custom reporting use-cases
Experience managing solutions or systems in a mid-to-large scale enterprise environment
Ability to run a meeting, manage a project, give presentations
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; the candidate must excel at developing action plans and coordinating efforts with multiple groups.
Excellent writing skills: the candidate must be able to document their analysis and recommendations for both technical and business audiences.
Experience in requirements gathering
Ability to develop test plans and methodologies for testing
Preferred BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or related Engineering degree
Desired Skills:
Advanced Data visualization with SSRS, Tableau, and Power BI
Ability to create Enterprise SQL Server SSRS Data driven subscription
Ability to embed PowerShell scripting with SSIS automation
Ability to work on Linux, Kerberos, Python projects when needed
Previous experience supporting technology within the financial
