Software Quality Engineer Intern

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented engineering student to function as a Software Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by conducting thorough testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You Will Do

• Analyze system specifications to understand the software’s intended functionality.
• Execute test cases to assess software performance. 
• Verify and validate web-based Application and Documentation.
• Identify, document, and prioritize technical issues and defects discovered during testing.
• Collaborate with software developers and other team members to resolve any identified issues.
• Track and report on quality metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing.

What You Will Bring

• At least a sophomore in a 4-year degree program
• Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering major.
• Interest in a Software Tester, Firmware Tester, or similar role.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) along with QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
• Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components is a plus.
• Familiarity in firmware tools a plus.
• Knowledge of Basic Networking a plus.
• Familiarity with various testing tools and software development frameworks is a plus.
• API testing with tools such as Postman.
• Scripting skills such as Python, Perl, Jscript.
• Understanding of Power and Power related products a plus.
