*This is a Hybrid role - Candidate is expected to report on-site 3 days per week to our Charlotte or Tempe office.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Data Analyst who thrives at the intersection of client engagement and technical expertise. In this role, you will leverage your problem-solving skills and foundational knowledge in SQL, data modeling, and visualization tools like Power BI to deliver actionable insights to clients and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include not only analyzing complex datasets but also translating your findings into clear, impactful presentations for senior management. As a mentor and leader, you will guide junior analysts while independently managing projects that align with the company’s strategic objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to junior analysts in data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Prepare and present data-driven insights, reports, and dashboards to senior leadership and executive teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis using SQL and Power BI (or other tools) to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain data models that support data-driven decision-making.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while assisting junior team members with their projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analytics and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data requirements are understood and delivered.
• Investigate data quality issues, discrepancies, and trends.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve data processes, workflows, and efficiencies.
• Create intuitive, high-impact dashboards and reports in Power BI (or similar visualization tools).
• Translate complex data into visual stories that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with the latest tools and technologies in data analytics.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of data-driven initiatives and team process improvement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• 4+ years of experience in a query language such as SQL or PySpark.
• 3+ years of experience in creating insightful visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• 2+ years of experience leading teams or projects.
• Advanced skill level with enterprise reporting systems and relational database management systems, with the ability to consider performance when creating reports/dashboards with large data structures.
• Experience communicating insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of the big picture and business implications when working with data.
• Enthusiasm and ability to learn and utilize additional analytics tools (such as PySpark) as needed.
• Experience with large data processing platforms.
• Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in an analytical role preferred (Analytics, Financial Planning & Analysis, Economics, etc).
