About the Job

Job Summary: The Legal Counsel III will provide comprehensive legal support, advice, and expertise to the organization. This role ensures legal compliance, participates in negotiations, handles claims and disputes, supports and manages litigation, prepares and validates corporate documents, and supports project legal requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide Legal Support, Advice, and Expertise:
   • Offer legal guidance to various departments within the organization.
   • Conduct legal research and provide interpretations of laws, regulations, and policies.
2. Ensure Legal Compliance:
   • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
   • Develop and implement compliance programs and policies.
3. Participate in Negotiations:
   • Assist in negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
   • Represent the organization in negotiations with external parties.
4. Handle Claims and Disputes:
   • Manage and resolve legal claims and disputes.
   • Work with external legal counsel as necessary.
5. Support and Manage Litigation:
   • Oversee and manage litigation matters.
   • Coordinate with external legal counsel and manage litigation budgets.
6. Prepare and Validate Corporate Documents:
   • Draft, review, and validate corporate documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
   • Ensure all corporate documents comply with legal requirements.
7. Support Project Legal Requirements:
   • Provide legal support for one or more projects within the organization.
   • Ensure all project activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.
• Office environment with occasional travel as required.

About You

 We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a legal role, including in-house legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
