Repair & Warranty Coordinator

Position Purpose:

The Repair & Warranty Coordinator processes, reviews and administers warranty claims including repairs and refunds in collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, quality, sourcing and engineering. This position works under a medium level of supervision.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluates customer warranty issues by periods and/or root cause (contractual and/or by law)

• Reviews and maintains item status in WISE

• Manages inventory or overhaul/repair units

• Evaluates supplier warranty issues by periods and/or root cause (contractual and/or by law)

• Creates and tracks work orders

• Performs cost analysis

• Communicates with CSRs about tracking of delivering dates

• Provides data for cost estimation

• Creates detailed repair reports

• Acts as/supports SQE in processing internal and external nonconforming material

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to effectively work in a team environment and maintain good customer focus. Good understanding of organizational structure and flow of information in the company

• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, electrical packaging diagrams, hydraulic and electronic schematics

• Solid knowledge of Woodward products, component function and testing. Understands assembly and test processes, drawings and geometric tolerances as well as shop standards and procedures and how they impact designs

• Effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic technical writing skills. Ability to interact effectively with customers during witness testing

• Good PC skills using spreadsheet, word processing, and WISE screens

• Good knowledge of appropriate WISE applications such as BOM, Item Master, NCR, EC screens, part tracking

• Ability to read and understand contractual terms and conditions

• Good decision making ability

Education:

• NITEC in any discipline

• Diploma in any discipline (preferred)

Experience:

• Experience in Operations, repair or related field
