This role ensures flawless execution during launch phases, upholds world-class standards, and champions electrical first-time quality. By leading launch readiness and execution, the Supervisor directly supports strategic growth and operational excellence.
WHAT: The Launch Processes and Standardized Work Supervisor is a critical driver of successful electrical manufacturing launches across global operations. This role is instrumental in ensuring launch readiness and flawless implementation, while upholding world-class standards and promoting Electrical First Time Quality (EFTQ). Through strategic oversight and operational excellence, the supervisor directly contributes to the organization’s growth and operational excellence.
HOW: This role delivers a critical impact by leading a team in establishing robust standards and processes through comprehensive launch plans, driving supplier accountability for product quality, while collaborating cross-functionally provided and to improve test builds and move left, laying a solid foundation that will protect the customers. This role also manages a team of electrical subject matter experts (SME's) that provide onsite support at every plant in North America based on needs. This ensures consistent application of best practices in electrical standards, wiring, connectors, and testing throughout the launch process.

Work Arrangement - Onsite
The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis This role requires a minimum of 50% travel. Travel will be primarily domestic with occasional international travel
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
Oversee a team of global manufacturing electrical operations subject matter experts (SME's) to provide coaching, training, and implement the electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) across all GM vehicle assembly plants
Participate in Manufacturing Quality Readiness Reviews (MQRR's), provide updates at gate reviews, and escalating roadblocks to leadership for resolution
Own and manage the Launch Protection Plan (LPP) for wire harness manufacturing, ensuring supplier and plant readiness
Update, maintain, and communicate electrical BoO standards to ensure clarity and correct execution
Establish relationships with plant leadership to facilitate engagement and implementation of the electrical BoO
Develop strategies and action plans to achieve EFTQ targets and ensure full BoO compliance at all vehicle assembly plants
Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges
Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Experience in electrical manufacturing, manufacturing quality, launch, manufacturing engineering, or related automotive operations.
Experience supporting vehicle launches, manufacturing readiness activities, plant builds, or production implementation.
Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, standardized work, process controls, and continuous improvement principles.
