This role will be reported to the Manager of Software QA of Digital Strategy. The QA Software Engineer will work primarily cross-functionally with development, design, and content teams to maintain and improve quality assurance processes.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and e-commerce applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and accessibility testing across digital properties.
Perform database validation using SQL queries.
Perform API testing using tools like SOAP and Postman.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to identify and resolve defects.
Utilize enterprise QA practices and tools to ensure consistent quality standards.
Track and manage defects using Azure DevOps.
Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in software quality assurance for web and mobile applications.
Familiarity with product management tools like Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred, but equivalent experience highly valued.
Nice to have:
Experience in cable/broadband industry.
Experience in SQL Queries
Familiarity with APIs and tools like Postman
Knowledge of mobile application testing and e-commerce optimization.
Knowledge in W3C WCAG Guidelines
