WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION
The Adjunct Faculty Member reports to the Law School's Associate Dean for Faculty & Curriculum, and will work closely with other full-time faculty as a clinic instructor. Some of the responsibilities of this role are:
Clinic instructors will assist and supervise students in tasks such as reviewing petitions for relief, recommending disposition on reviewed cases, writing briefs or memos in support of current cases before Human Rights bodies or tribunals, and general research and writing on human rights issues.
WHAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THIS ROLE?
Required Degree: JD required. Required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: Applicants should have demonstrated experience with human rights issues, including working for or with various international institutions such as the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights or the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Recent or on-going connection to such institutions is preferred.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the State of Utah to be eligible for employment consideration.
This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
