Job Description

The Studio Mastering & Content Operations team is looking for a Manager of Physical Title Production.  This role will provide budget and operational oversight for a team of consultant staff as well as manage the compression and authoring vendors used for physical disc production.  You will act as a subject matter expert on DVD, BD and UHD technical specifications while mastering to disc the latest films and tv content offerings from our Studio and Partners globally.  Additionally, you will collaborate with teams in Theatrical, Marketing, Creative Services and Distribution to meet the production and timeline needs of high-profile titles and compressed release windows.  

Qualifications

  • Maintain the UPHE Title Budget Greenlight process, presenting operational costs against territory forecasts for Brand and Finance final review.
  • Manage a team of onsite consultants specializing in Technical Operations Global Physical Title Management
  • Provide training on new processes and coordinate with consultant parent companies to set individual performance goals and metrics.
  • Establish compression and authoring policies as needed based on changes in business strategy or format advancements.
  • Attend and communicate with Talent during emulation QC sessions for high profile titles
  • Convey information regarding upcoming titles, delivery status and production delays with UPHE Brand Marketing, Creative Services and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate the delivery of the video, audio, subtitles and menus to multiple 3rd party authoring and programming facilities.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors and reconcile billing discrepancies with internal finance team.
  • Perform QC on physical discs and digital content across multiple devices and platforms.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA degree or 3 years related experience.
  • Individual must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, large team environment.  Individual will be dealing directly with other technical, creative, and operations employees on a regular basis.  Individual must also be able to work independently within their own process. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, internet, order processing, and database software.
  • Two years of experience working with clients in the entertainment industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to interpret delivery schedules and timelines.
  • Technical knowledge of video, audio, subtitles, and digital files.
  • Technical knowledge of DVD, BD, UHD and Digital file authoring processes.
