Summary
Under the direction of a Cardiologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, or Director-CVS performs Interventional Radiology and Invasive Cardiac Cath Lab procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical specified procedures including procedural scrub assist, hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy image technique, radiation safety, and/or may be assigned other duties.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job. Current California Radiologic Technologist License.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
- Four (4) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care hospital.
- Two (2) years recent experience as an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Tech III / or Interventional Radiology Tech III. Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional experience preferred.
- Valid Fluoroscopy License
- Physical requirements: must have adequate back and general health to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to lead apron, protective glasses, etc. during procedures.
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (completion date- prior to 90th day of employment)
- Completion of basic 12-lead EKG class (completion date- prior to 90th day of employment) as required.
Pay Range: $35.90 - $48.25
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience

Assists nursing personnel with emergency procedures. Assumes responsibility for maintenance and quality control of equipment. Cleans and packages instruments/supplies for sterilization. Assumes role of monitor tech as needed.
Education:
Required: High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred: Formal cardiovascular technology training.
Experience:
Preferred: 1 year health care or cardiac cath lab experience
