Salary Range: $52.6100 - $80.8600 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Home Health/ Hospice Educator (RN) serves as the educational resource for assigned service line. Assesses the educational needs of assigned area and provides in servicing, classes, on-line modules and other educations materials to achieve educational goals. Ensures that sound theoretical and technical criteria are established and incorporates evidence-based practices. Participates in meeting or exceeding goals for quality indicators. Oversees orientation for newly hired employees and annual skills review. Maintains competencies for assigned clinical staff. Serves as a mentor to frontline staff in innovation and research projects. Based on service line, coordinates and participates in re-certification programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- BSN, or ADN plus 10 years’ home health/ hospice experience required. Must obtain BSN within two years of hire.
- Minimum of four (4) years clinical experience in specialty required.
- Experience with Power Point and presentation technology required.
- MSN preferred.
License Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state of California required.
Certifications Required
- BLS.
- Specialty Certification preferred.
