Raytheon's Field Engineering team is seeking a Phalanx C-RAM/CIWS Field Engineering Specialist to support the Land-Based PHALANX Weapons System (LPWS) program.  The goal of the Land-Based PHALANX Weapons System (LPWS) Theater Support Program is to provide subject matter experienced professionals to support the LPWS requirements.

The unaccompanied role is a rotational deployment to OCONUS locations for extended terms.

When not on deployment this role will be Onsite at Fort Sill, Lawton, OK with availability for assignments to various CONUS/OCONUS sites.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate, assess, and provide training to force protection personnel on all configurations of the LPWS.
• Inspect, test, and align the designated systems appropriate specifications.
• Utilize schematics, drawings, specifications, and General Purpose Electrical / Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE) to troubleshoot and repair faults in the systems / equipment.
• Provide up to date training in the operation, maintenance, alignment, and repair of the LPWS.
• Provide support in obtaining LPWS OEM data (drawings, test data, etc.) through proper channels.
• Develop and support the installation, repair, maintenance, and operation of all aspects of the LPWS equipment, and communications and electro-optical equipment.
• Evaluate and document field operational capability and report results to customer and program office.
• Perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functions, as well as analysis of system operations.
• Perform other technical duties as assigned.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Advanced military Close-in Weapon System (CIWS) training.
• Experience in Combat Systems Support.
• Experience in trouble shooting and maintenance of the Phalanx MK15 Close-in Weapon System.
• Experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and peripheral devices.
• Experience with systems integration, software, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Comprehension of Military protocol.
• Comprehension using operating systems and database administration systems.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance or INTERIM Clearance is required prior to start date. 
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • V10A - Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) MK-31 Mod 1 & 3 Guided Missile Weapons Systems Technician
  • V18A - CIWS MK-15 BLOCK 11-14 Technician
  • V19A - Phalanx Close-In Weapon System MK 15 MOD 11-14, 21, 22, and 25-28 Technician
  • V39A - Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) AN/USG-2 Cooperative Engagement Transmission Processing Set (CETPS) Technician
  • 1122 - Phalanx Close-In Weapon System MK 15 Mod 21,22, and 25 (Block 1B) Technician
  • 1121 - Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) MK 15 Block 11-14 Technician 
• Ability to work autonomously.

Special Work Circumstances
