Pastry Chef

Mitsis Group, a leading player in the hospitality industry, is seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for overseeing the production and presentation of all baked goods, desserts, and pastries within our establishments.

As a Pastry Chef, you will be tasked with creating delectable and visually stunning desserts that will both satisfy and impress our guests. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and talent by developing new recipes and innovating classic desserts. The role requires a strong understanding of various pastry techniques and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production and presentation of all baked goods, desserts, and pastries
• Develop and execute dessert menus that align with our brand standards and customer preferences
• Train, mentor, and supervise pastry cooks and other members of the culinary team
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all desserts
• Monitor inventory levels, order ingredients and supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following sanitation and safety standards
• Collaborate with other chefs and food and beverage managers to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role within a reputable hospitality establishment
• Strong knowledge of various pastry techniques and a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ingredients
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality desserts
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
