Job Overview:

Day to day, you would be responsible for providing care to patients. Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Services provided by the RN include; supervising care delivered, coordinating plans of care, and providing education for patients/families. The Pediatric unit is a 19-bed unit that includes 4 PICU beds for critically ill children or those needing more intensive monitoring. The pediatric unit provides care to children from infants to adolescents with a variety of diagnosis including, respiratory illnesses, medical surgical patients, dehydration, failure to thrive, cellulitis, gastrointestinal disease, infections and other illnesses. The unit also provides outpatient services such as pediatric infusions, port blood draws and sedated imaging. The unit is staffed by pediatric hospitalists, pediatric intensivists, pediatric nurses, and some specialized services including pediatric GI, neurology, cardiology, and infectious disease. Other specialized staff include respiratory therapy, nutritionist as well as physical and occupational therapy. Overall, the pediatric unit strives to offer a safe, nurturing environment to support both the physical and emotional well-being of its youngest patients and their families.

  

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana or a compact licensed state

 

Preferred: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:

  • One (1) year of RN experience
  • Previous pediatric experience
