The team

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our team, working on the next-gen UI for managing all of the various storage systems in addition to data governance and AI offerings. The new VSP360 Management platform will consolidate all of the existing Hitachi Vantara applications into a single platform that will operate both on-prem and as a SaaS based platform.

 

 The role

As a Junior Software Developer, you will contribute to the following areas (including but not limited to):

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Python
• Assist with debugging, testing, and participating in code reviews
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Work on Linux-based environments for development and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members in Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning)
• Learn and grow through mentorship, pair programming, and continuous feedback

 

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with Java and Python
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Understanding of backend development principles
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
