About the role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to join Urology and Sexual Medicine teams!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy.  Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse’s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program.  Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.  Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients.  Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

Additional Information: 

The Urology team supports patients with a variety of services including treating kidney stones, bladder dysfunctions and prostate cancer.

This position will also be supporting the Sexual Medicine and Male Infertility Clinic. The clinic treats men and women by providing medical, surgical, and behavioral health services for a variety of sexual conditions. 

Duties for both specialties include working alongside medical providers, rooming and discharging patients, room set up and take down, assisting with procedures, managing patient and physician messages, refilling medications, obtaining prior authorizations, scheduling appointments and other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidates would have a desire to learn, be a good communicator, have organization skills, be assertive yet compassionate, and able to multitask and prioritize.

Work ScheduleM-F, Clinic Hours. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:
    • Graduated from a school of nursing.
    • Associate degree or diploma required; Bachelor preferred.
    • One year of prior experience in nursing preferred.

 

  • Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
    • Maintain a current state certified registered nurse’s licensure.
    • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served.
    • Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multitask.
