Come Join the DES Team!<br/><br/>The DES, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Child Support Specialist Senior with the Financial Unit. This position is responsible for interpreting and applying information for the purpose of correctly calculating and distributing child support for current support, support arrearages, and reimbursement of monies expended.</span></p>
<p><span>This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.</span></p>

<span>Job Duties:</span>

<p><span>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<br/><br/>- Review/analyze legal documents and complex fiscal management data.<br/>- Apply complex policy and procedural rules to determine apportionment of obligations owed.<br/>- Research information on available databases to ensure the accuracy of court order information and pay records. <br/>- Review cases for modification to the child support order.<br/>- Research and gather information from case files. <br/>- Communicate with clients, absent parents, employers, mortgage companies, attorneys, and governmental agencies to obtain information necessary for court or administrative action. <br/>- Determine appropriate action required to facilitate the accurate distribution of monies.</span></p>

<span>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):</span>
</div>
<div>
<p><span>Knowledge in:<br/>- Strong understanding of case management principles and techniques.<br/>- General working knowledge of legal documents and procedures; court and legal system processes.<br/><br/>Skills in:<br/>- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).<br/>- Experience maintaining and organizing a high-volume caseload.<br/>- Performing complex mathematical calculations.<br/>- Experience collecting or recovering expenses, repayment, fees, or obligations. <br/>- Proficient in computer software applications, i.e. Microsoft Office applications and Google tools.<br/>- Proficient in automated information and case management systems.<br/>- Use of interviewing techniques to obtain information.<br/><br/>Ability to:<br/>- Learn automated systems, the Arizona Child Support Services case management system, manual and automated enforcement tools, and interfacing databases.<br/>- Multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, performance driven environment. <br/>- Meet performance measures and data reliability goals.<br/>- Be flexible and reliable in a team setting. <br/>- Be analytical, detail-oriented, and ‘think outside the box’.</span></p>
