Your New Role – Forest Management Technician - Recreation Technician

As a Forest Management Technician, you will be working as a member of the State Forest Recreation Operations Program that is tasked with managing recreation facilities and non-motorized trails on across all state forest land.  You will be doing maintenance and janitorial work, supporting facility and trail projects, collecting and processing campground fees, supporting the work of volunteers, partners, and service providers, and assisting with a wide range of program activities that support the complete State Forest Recreation Operations Program.  Each year, the state forest recreation facilities and non-motorized trails are used by thousands of visitors, and you will play a key role in providing information to forest visitors while patrolling campgrounds, dispersed use areas, trailheads and day-use areas, and trails.

Forest Management Technician - Minimum Qualifications:

Eighteen months of experience working in the field of Parks and Recreation Administration, Outdoor Recreation Management, Recreation Planning, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or Forestry Education and Interpretation.

Associate degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Outdoor Recreation Management, Recreation Planning, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Studies, Forestry; or a related na
