About the Role:
The Project Manager Global Supply Chain Capital Equipment provides vision and leadership as a project manager for projects supporting Global Operations, Capital Equipment Service, Supply Chain, and Quality.  These projects vary in size and scope, but may include supporting new product introductions, acquisitions, technology development, business process improvements, Quality/Regulation driven project work, as well as driving strategic and transformational changes.  These projects often have a relatively high level of complexity and visibility throughout the organization.  The project manager will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to implement solutions to support the project goals.  Additionally, this project manager will work collaboratively across functions, regions, and business units to develop project strategies and tactical plans to deliver results, interact with a variety of stakeholders to secure input, support, and resources, and assist in the facilitation of change in business practices.

Boston Scientific’s Capital Equipment product portfolio is a fast growing space.  The project opportunities are dynamic and span multiple divisions, functions and regions across the organization. Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Operations projects - determine objectives and deliverables, and ensure achievement and project success
  • Develop and deliver an appropriate project business plan, including resources, costs, return on investment, and timing.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Monitor project progress, including budgets, interim milestones, and final deliverables.
  • Manage individual project challenges and recommend solutions to address them.
  • Identify and address areas of project risk and implement strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Regularly present project status to individual team members, project team leadership, and company leadership as required.
  • Partner with a variety of function, region, and business resources to develop and execute business plan, and facilitate collaboration to achieve project objectives.
  • Assist in implementing permanent changes to business practices to ensure overall effectiveness of the company.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  •  Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical field, including at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work together with a cross functional team and influence stakeholders at peer group and 1-up levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects – including determining objectives and deliverables, managing execution, and ensuring project success
  • Strong organization, execution, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, domestic and international

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Experience working in a Global Supply Chain or Operations function
  • Strong working knowledge of the Quality Systems basics
  • Experience working in functions sup
