Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Monitors driver performance and necessary documentation to ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including maintaining the qualifications of all drivers assigned to the Transportation Office by reviewing hours of service (HOS) data and records to ensure compliance; ensuring proper reporting of traffic violations and roadside inspections; assisting with accident and injury investigations, interviews and documentation gathering at the direction of a TO Safety Operations Manager; supporting the Safety Manager and making recommendations for specific areas of concern for further safety review/observations; and ensuring drivers receive proper training and when required, receive re-training. Manages daily fleet safety office operations by monitoring and ensuring fleet performance related to transportation safety and compliance; ensuring compliance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations, (for example, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, PHMSA, etc.) relating to daily operations; and preparing reviews and analyzing safety related documentation and reports by completing and maintaining files for safety training, confidential driver qualification, and inspections. Facilitates and ensures compliance with Federal Drug and Alcohol testing requirements along with company post-accident and injury testing policies by reviewing driver's accident history to ensure accurate payment of safe performance bonuses; and maintaining a high level of confidentially in all matters pertaining to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), litigation, labor law and personal information.
