Platform Delivery Engineer II

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to help build our mission of modernization and microservices CI/CD SDLC tools and practices, aligned with delivering our flagship SaaS-based Kubernetes platform About the Team:As a member of our Kubernetes Platform Team, you will join a team of bright, fast-paced Software Engineers that are focused on building a platform for enablement and guardrails to allow a faster way to develop, build and deploy Everbridge microservices at scale. You will integrate with the engineering team supporting a diverse set of organizations including Development, Quality, Operations and other shared services teams.

What you'll do:

• Technical development work in the transformation to microservices-oriented CI/CD pipelines with orchestrated delivery of infrastructure and services in a Kubernetes environment
• Develop, implement, document, and evolve continuous integration tooling and standards.
• Collaborate with more senior engineers across Development, QA, and Operations to ensure a smooth transition of deliverables through proper release channels.
• Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in Kubernetes and Microservices.

What you'll bring:

• 1+ years of overall technical work, with 2-4 years experience in developing build, development, and deployment solutions for microservices architectures
• 1+ years of experience with AWS administration, configuration design, network/VPC design, and automated practices
• Software development experience in one mainstream language: Java, Golang, Python
• Working AWS experience with AWS EKS and/or other managed Kubernetes platforms
• Experience with microservice deployment tools like Helm, Spinnaker, and ArgoCD
• Experience developing one or two microservices
• Experience with Jenkins, Gitlab CI, or equivalent open-source CI in a UNIX/Linux environment
• Working experience of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
• Microservice security and hardening capabilities
