The Accountant I will support the accounting team with various accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
• Learn and manage the day-to-day accounting best practices.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, including monthly statements and budgets.
• Collaborate with managers/supervisors to understand the financial aspects of the Company.
• Gain experience with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is required.
• Must have exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Microsoft Access or similar databases is a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and technical accounting skills are necessary for success in this role.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) is a plus but not required.
• Team player with a positive--'can do' approach.
