Job Summary
The Medical Imaging Equipment Painter plays a key role in the refurbishment process by preparing, painting, and finishing medical imaging equipment and components. This position focuses on quality, consistency, and attention to detail, ensuring all painted surfaces meet strict durability, cleanliness, and regulatory standards required in medical device manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
Prepare equipment and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using spray guns, electrostatic systems, or other approved methods
Mix paints and coatings according to specifications, ensuring proper color, viscosity, and finish
Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and finish specifications
Inspect finished work for defects such as runs, bubbles, scratches, or color inconsistencies
Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to meet quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and contamination control requirements consistent with medical device regulations
Safely handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and chemicals in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines
Maintain paint booths, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition
Document work performed and report any quality or process issues
Collaborate with warehouse, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement
Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Paint or Warehouse Manager
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience as an industrial painter (medical device, automotive, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing preferred)
Knowledge of spray painting techniques and surface preparation
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions
Familiarity with safety procedures related to hazardous materials and PPE
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Ability to work independently in a laid-back, results-driven environment
A caring and driven attitude with a commitment to long-term growth
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to wear respirators, protective suits, gloves, and eye protection
Manual handling of large or complex equipment components
