What You'll Be Doing in the role of Sr. Manager CD, Operations:

Sr. Manager CD Operations connects strategy, planning, operations and execution across all internal Komen departments related to the Community Development portfolio. This position has a “bird’s eye view” of the Community Development strategic planning process, budget implications, resources, programs and campaigns executed by the department, and department projects organizational-wide to provide a consistent voice and opportunities to streamline. The Sr. Manager will coordinate, socialize, create consistency and manage the strategic and tactical plans and associated resources for multiple fully integrated  programs and projects from start to finish. The Sr. Manager will be collaborative, painstakingly organized and an expert communicator. They will work to support the Community Development Leadership team in creating integrations, cross-functional meeting and review of strategic plans and projects to further fundraising objectives. The Sr. Manager will also oversee the budgeting and quarterly forecast process, setting a timeline and deliverables aligned with the SVP and CFO.

They will be hands on in the day-to-day management of all high-level  projects that affect the Community Development team, especially those related to our mission-critical fundraising efforts, with goals to increase revenue, decrease expenses, and alleviate operational workload for our fundraisers in the field and leadership teams alike.   The Sr. Manager will work closely with team members in marketing and communications, operations, technology, finance, legal, mission, and community development to identify tasks, timelines, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and risks in order to create a smooth path for  project success. The Sr. Manager will be the main point of contact through which communication and questions can be directed to the Community Development Senior Leadership Team from Operations, Accounting, Legal, Marketing, and Corporate Partnerships teams ensuring questions and decisions are properly routed and stakeholders. The Sr. Manager will identify and help leverage the right resources for getting the jobs done, including validating, maintaining, and communicating a set of complex RACIs and strategic plans. 

What You Will Bring to the Table

Creating and managing cross-functional strategic and operational plans, detailed project plans and timelines for several concurrent, integrated projects.

Creating and rolling-out project management and cross-functional methodologies, tools, and resources in alignment with overall operations guidelines.

Working with Community Development Senior Leadership Team and Program Directors to articulate a project vision or charter, creating timelines, assigning tasks, providing expertise across the portfolio, holding project team members responsible for deliverables and deadlines.

Documenting dependencies and decision points, managing both with diplomacy and efficiency.

Creating and managing resource plans and RACIs. Responsible for ensuring all RACIs are reviewed and updated regularly and reflect the current roles and teams.

Being a single, informed point of contact when multiple teams are working in tandem on the same projects.

Setting and maintaining standards for execution, with a mind for quality control, delivery timeline, and risk management.

Coordinating project and status meetings, ensuring that agendas and desired outcomes are clear, and that related materials are circulated in advance. Following up on action items and next steps.
