One such research project that has received widespread national attention and support is Project Aspire and its sister project the Thirty Million Words Initiative—they aim to use family-centered curriculum and parent language to bridge the achievement gap between groups of children.
Job Summary
Responsibilities
Assists in facial plastic and reconstructive surgeries and in-office procedures, including, but not limited to, general plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, including performing dermal filler and/or Botulinum neurotoxin injections.
Conducts hospital consultations and partakes in advanced OHNS and facial reconstructive inpatient care.
Optimizes care pathways for inpatient and outpatient FPRS patients.
Performs postoperative care and follow-up.
Designs patient education programs that include information required to make informed health care and treatment decisions.
Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, using advanced clinical skills and knowledge to provide assessment, evaluation, testing, treatment, therapies, medical management, and other direct care to general ENT and FPRS patients.
Provides healthcare services typically performed by a physician under the supervision of a physician in outpatient settings.
Performs outpatient general ENT and FPRS procedures.
Examines patients to obtain information about their physical condition. Instructs and counsels patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens.
Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, and laboratory tests, interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
Makes tentative diagnoses and decisions about the management and treatment of patients; Plans operative interventions for complex head and neck trauma patients in coordination with the OHNS resident team.
Obtains, compiles, and records patient medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of physical examination.
Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
Prescribes therapy or medication.
Evaluates goals and outcomes taking into account the benefit-versus-burden, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness for the patient, family and the organization.
Develops diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions needed to achieve the goals and outcomes of the patient’s plan of care.
Performs other related work as needed.
