🚀 About the Role This internship supports active Security Engineering and Operations initiatives focused on improving security tooling, operational workflows, and process maturity across the organization. The intern will assist with operational security activities, documentation, detection tuning support, and analysis of security controls under guidance from the security team.  
The role provides hands-on exposure to security engineering and operational processes such as vulnerability management, security operations (SecOps), application security, incident response, and detection and monitoring, while also supporting emerging areas such as AI security governance and internal security tooling.  
This internship is designed to give practical experience in how security engineering and operations teams work together at scale, with an emphasis on learning, documentation, analysis, and process improvement.  

🔧 Responsibilities

  • Support operational security requirements across security operations, vulnerability management, application security, data loss prevention, and incident response workflows
  • Assist in developing, tuning, and validating SIEM detections by reviewing existing alerts, researching improvements, and documenting findings under guidance from the security team
  • Support AI security initiatives, including responsible use of AI tools, governance considerations, and contributing to the development of internal security tooling and automation where appropriate
  • Support cloud and platform security initiatives through research, documentation, and analysis of security controls, configurations, and coverage, under guidance from the security team
  • Contribute to security process improvement and documentation, consistency, and long term operational readiness

💡 Requirements

  • Education:  
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field (required)

  • Experience:  
  • Coursework, labs, trainings, internships, or projects related to information security, systems, cloud platforms, or IT operations (desired)

  • Security Tooling & Processes:  
  • Interest in or familiarity with security tooling and processes such as vulnerability management, security operations, incident response, application security, or detection and monitoring
  • Willingness to learn how security engineering and operations teams function  

  • Technical & Analytical Skills:  
  • Foundational understanding of computer systems, networking, and cloud concepts
  • Comfortable working with technical tools, reviewing information, and documenting findings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Scripting or coding experience is a plus

  • AI & Communication:  
  • Interest in AI usage within security teams, including safe use and governance
