We’re looking for a Quality Control Manager to join the verifying team. This role will be responsible for managing the verifying process, making sure the team works with efficiency, and that departmental goals are regularly met.
You’ll report to the Director of PSA/DNA Operations and work from our Santa Ana office.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for the development of techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing company products.
- Conduct analysis on product defects, production processes, and customer requirements in order to recommend modifications in products and/or quality standards.
- Develop and manage data analytics for quality programs.
- Responsible for managing changes (send-backs) and ensuring continuous improvement (reduction) of changes.
- Owns daily production metrics for the verifying department.
- Manages, trains and motivates the verifying team.
- Responsible for training and assisting in continued development of skill sets for each individual member.
- Evaluates team member output in each of their assigned duties to ensure it meets company quality standards.
- Partners with department leads to manage the document control process.
- Establishes effective communication channels that ensure the flow of quality-related information into and out of the department.
- Identifies and develops new quality metrics as needs arise.
- Assists in development of strategic and tactical plans to ensure achievement of company and departmental goals.
- Lead by example and be a champion of all company policies, including safety, attendance & security.
Who You Are:
- 5-8 years of work experience in quality assurance, combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in Quality Management and customer satisfaction in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience implementing and managing quality systems in a GMP environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (industrial or manufacturing engineering preferred) or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Strong math, analytical, planning, problem solving and project management skills.
- Supervisory experience required with manufacturing engineering/management experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiation and time management skills.
- Experience developing processes, writing procedures and training hourly and exempt associates.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Experience with assembly operations.
- Strong computer and database skills.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $94,027 - $152,655. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
