Summary of Job Duties:

A postdoctoral researcher will develop functional materials or novel analytical methodology for analysis, detection, or treatment of PFAS. Generally, the postdoc will provide support to research projects under the direction of Dr. Guo analyzes problems in research, development, and applications to support the advancement of research.

Dr. Guo is a chemist by training. She received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Lanzhou University (undergraduate research supervisor: Prof. Wei Wang), China, and her PhD from UC Berkeley, where she worked on COFs and MOFs under Prof. Omar Yaghi. She then completed postdoctoral training at Caltech in Prof. Michael R. Hoffmann's group, focusing on environmental science and engineering. Dr. Guo joined the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville as an assistant professor in August 2022.

The Guo Lab (https://www.myresearch.top/ggroup/) explores new chemistry in functional materials for diverse applications. Our primary focus (funded projects) is PFAS-related chemistry, aiming to develop advanced monitoring and treatment technologies. We are also interested in other applications, such as bioimaging and biomolecular separation.
